When they say "coolant" they probably mean water. Water which was drinkable, water which is now full of steel shavings and will find its way into the water table.

Nice clip. It`s good to watch this show and hear tolerable music in the background for once. The female narrator is a nice upgrade, too. It may be the most neutral of all the English-speaking accents, but I could still tell she`s Canadian.
