The CG is a bit outdated, but the first one did come out about 10 years ago. This is one of the greatest video games of all time, maybe the best. I still play online once in a while. Pretty much every cinematic is a work of art. I love the return of the protoss one in the original.

fuck warcraft and warhammer, this game starcraft is the quintessential real time strategy game ever made, it surpasses all others in both single player campaign and multiplayer online. its story and cinematics are top notch with many memorable charecters.

Its use of giving each race advantages and disadvantages is superior to that of any other game.

Now that the sequal is finally scheduld for release expect to see gaming competitions hit the big time.

how is this a rip off warhammer??? this games been out since '98, it think. warhammer came out in 2006.

if anything, warhammer ripped off this.

ya exactly star craft is older then warhammer and still better despite being older...starcraft, command and conquer games, and the age of empires series make up the quintessential RTS games

Warhammer was introduced as a tile-set game introduced in 1983, so it came out waaay before Starcraft. And the reason Starcraft has similarities to the series, is that Starcraft started out as a Warhammer 40k game, but lost the license so it got released by Blizzard independently.

That being said, I was raised on Starcraft, and I can't wait for the 2nd one.

^ Warhammer the video game was based off a board game which came out LONG before Starcraft did. I still disagree with Starcraft being ripped off of Warhammer.

regardless of whether or not Starcraft ripped off Warhammer 40k, It was a much better game. Warhammer 40k was a peice of fucking shit and had the most retarded ass ways of winning. You could kill every one of those invisible protoss looking guys and they're still there hidden and you have to search the whole fing map over and over and by that time they're rebuilt and it's just retarded.

I always wondered which unit it was that blew up the two zerglings with the missiles. The only Terran ground unit that uses missiles is the Goliath, but thats only against air.
