I used to have at least some respect for McCain but for f***s sake he's a POW who was supposedly tortured in Vietnam how the hell can he be acting like that?

No wonder his campaign has fallen to shambles he's a piece of crap that bent so far to appease warmongers that he's sacrificed the one thing he had going for him - experience, the fact that he's not a draft dodger and he's been in harms way. A man that should be able to sympathize with our servicemen and women overseas.

Its bad to play politics when our people are in harms way, but Nori al-Maliki has said that we can leave, most of the Iraqi people want us out of there. I just don't understand whast we are trying to "win" over there. Seems to me that we kicked their ass, got rid of Saddam, made sure there were no WMDs, enforced all the UN resolutions and helped them build a new government. What is victory at this point?

Are we going to piss away more than $100 billion a year for the rest of forever? Hell, we could give the Democrats their socialized healthcare for that couldn't we?

If the Republicans were smart they would join the Democrats in getting out people out of there so the war would not be an issue for the next election, because if they leave that war issue on the table then they are going to get their asses smoked and we will end up with the Hildabeast for President, not that I think any of the Republican Contenders are any better with the execption of Ron Paul of Course!

for those who don't understand how American government works, first note that the democrats do NOT have a majority in the Senate there is a 49-49 split with two independents (even though they caucus with the dems), also note that in the senate the 'majority' party needs 60 votes to stop a filibuster and 67 votes to override a presidential veto (not to mention the house where they need 290 votes to override a veto and the Dems only hold 233/435 seats)

anyone who knows anything about American politics realizes that winning a small majority in the Congress with an opposition president counts for little, except that the Congress doesn't have to pass the laws that the president wants...but neither does the president have to sign off on laws he doesn't like coming out of congress

the moral? wait until a Dem president is in office, until then the Dems should play defense

Yeah, it's not funny when it's 'our guy', but here's the thing; it was less funny when it was 'your guy'.

'Our guy' didn't start a war based on fraudulent (not faulty) intel. 'Our guy' hasn't damned our once-great country's image on the world stage. 'Our guy' is not often keen on taking our civil liberties in exchange for what is no more than perceived security. 'Our guy' doesn't refer to these as critical times, and continue his tireless march to overtake Reagan as the president with the most vacation days.

Aside from all that, 'our guy' wants to end a war, and 'your guy' is obstinate in keeping the war going.
