Hacking Vista: Easier Than You Would Thi...

Marc Maiffret, eEye's young co founder, used to be on the other side of the protection business. Today, he and his team search for software flaws and then work with companies like Microsoft to fix the holes. It was only a matter of time before eEye discovered some holes in the new Windows Vista operating system.

only idiots get hacked....those things shown in the vid are actually easy to avoid if you know what you're doing...like not opening random emails from people you don't know.

Like one of my network teachers told us:"If a hacker REALLY want to get your sys, it's not with the PC of your mom and a router at 70$ that you're going to do something."

There's ALWAYS a crack...

They're just going to go back to you, step by step, until you spended 2 millions in security, then their only chance is to sit in front of the server. ><

Well I don't know who enjoys sitting in their parent's basement just hacking computers around the world because they're a bunch of degenerates that can't take the time to go out and sell me marijuana at a reasonable price. Bastards.

I'd really like to learn how to do this stuff, I just don't want to get arrested while I'm still figuring out how to hide, though. If only there were some like...game that emulated the internet environment enough to teach you.

And the penalty for getting caught hacking into systems?

A new job at the FBI, CIA or MS!

Love how we reward assholes in this world. Not that these kids were being assholes here, at least they are advertising and warning others.

I think if kids get caught 15 on up they should get 10 years jail period.

But alas, Americans are fucking pussies. You get 25 years for rape and 7 years for murder here. WTF?

One thing that most people fail to notice is that all antivirus programs and firewalls make their money out of viruses and trojans. No hackers = no business. I wouldn't be a bit suprised if Norton hired a few hackers to develop some nasty worms.

On a side note, why even use microsoft's products when there is better available for free? Linux isn't bulletproof, but it's sure more secure than any Windows.

first, people who need to use various programs that the rest of the world runs on use microsoft because there's no other option. microsoft sucks, but unless your just word processing, you have to use it to be able to work with the rest of the world.

2nd, if you dont know enough about the system you trust your finances to to avoid this sort of thing, you deserve whatever you get. ignorance is no excuse, educate yourself and youll be fine. if your hell bent on being an idiot, fine by me, ill empty your bank account now
