ok This guy is Amazing when he talks!! He effortlessly Explains Step by Step how most Christians Should act or accordantly to the Bible. most people dont understands the bible as he does!. that one line he says in the Beginning " if you saw a building on fire, yet you knew you could of saved those people would you?!" that saying Not to be a Bystander and do something about it ! (see I don't flame Atheism) He Speaks the Truth And as a Catholic this man Rocks and should be heard! (Remeber Hes an Atheist!)

Because most Atheist in this web-site Bash Christianity so much... most Atheist should learn a thing or two from this guy, hes a Genius Because he Show the Intellect hes got instead of Saying oooO how Religion is Brain washing F*&K Jesus and all that... Respect All religion I say!

Who says he respects religion or thinks it's not brain washing? He just stating the obvious. It wasn't his personal opinion how whether religion is useful or not. Just because he didn't say it doesn't mean that's not his opinion.

Most SMART Athiests/Agnostics would agree 100% with what he said. The people you keep hearing are the random losers.

I know what you mean @Gelsamel, I respect All people No matter their race/Religion/what ever! Sorry to say if he didn't like Religion or not, but to me it seems that he Studies the Religion so a Cocky Christian would come to him he would basically do what most gamers say "Owned his/her sorry ass" I just respect a HUMAN of this Intellect thats all... i can't wait till some one would challenge him ... knowing who the winner of the Argument would be...

He may be an atheist now, but it sounds like he was either raised in the basic doctrines or was a member of a church for a while.

The guy makes a bunch of great points.

The website is that of a Christian organization...fucking liar cultists. Whoever edited this is the worst kind of cultist slimeball. This kind of underhanded bullshit is what really infuriates me to no end. These people must be stopped.

I'd take Dawkins over this guy any day, however this guy does seem to know what he's talking about, too bad they used the editing to make him say only what they wanted him to.
I'll be the first to admit I've never studied the bible in any great depth, i refuse to pollute my mind with such garbage.
I'm not against the parts of the bible that say to treat people nicely, don't kill, don't steal ect.. but the bible has so many repulsive parts in it that it's completely contradictory.

When a Christian says something like "That was from the old testament not the new" it just makes me think, if the old testament is wrong, what makes the new testament right?

We have a set of rules that everybody lives by today, it's called the law, and it's far more relevant that the bible's set of morals.

God I'm sick of hearing about religion. Time and education will take care of it eventually.

I have to admit, I can’t help but hate the fanatic atheist, they are no better than any fanatic religious nut job, from my point of view. But, this guy was very well spoken and had something most all atheist lack, respect. I could see this person causing me to think hard on some of my own beliefs if I had the chance to sit down with him and talk.

^He was saying what he believes the bible is truly telling people to do, if he was saying why he was an Atheist you'd be singing a different tune.
This was edited in such a way that he could just as well be a preacher in a church spouting his nonsense.

I thought it was a thoughtful twist to show how intelligent and open-minded atheists can be. I also thought this supported the atheist cause more than any theist cause, by illustrating that many (most?) Christians do NOT live up to their doctrine--that they pick and choose which beliefs to take seriously. I find it interesting that you came away from this video thinking that it was religious propaganda--to me it's the exact opposite.

I hate christian missionary people telling me I'm going to hell if I don't believe christanity. How would they like it if I go around church & tell them It's all big fat lies & there's no place like heaven or hell. I'm not saying religion is all bad but using fear to force people to believe is wrong.

Excellent video. The interviewee is very well-spoken, and as a Christian myself I agree with him on almost all points (exception being evangelism - the label "bible-thumper" is associated with a particular type of evangelism, usually confrontational and non-rational, that does not work well; there are other ways to share your faith)

I'd love to see more of that interview. This sounds like an atheist who might have REAL reasons for being an atheist (a position of faith) unlike Harris and Dawkins whose reasons are little better than "no need" and "no benefit", with weak backing arguments.
