Yes it's a good movie, making a very obvious social statement on what humanity has devolved to. The aliens in it are a symbolic representation, of the so called 'elite'. The subliminal messages, being a portrayal of the methods the media employ.

Also I just started 2 consecutive sentences with 'The'. Though to be honest I couldn't care less.

Great Movie. Its one that slipped past me in the 80's. saw for the first time last year and loved it. You may also notice that this movie is where one of duke nukem's iinfamous saying come from.

As I kid I had a dream about the convenience store part all the time, I also had dreams that I was on a roof-top with those things at night. Pretty fucked up because after I watched the clip with the convenience store I got goosebumps and my nose started bleeding...

The guys with the scary faces represented the people who support man on man violence, corruption, and war. The guys who make up their own set of rules is who their talking about.

The message behind the movie was brilliant, but the movie itself kinda sucked, I mean, they could do a far better job. And I am not talking about visual effects, more like the script should be redone. No, I'm not gonna write list of things I would change, everybody should see for their own.
