If all of your dumb asses think the war is so fucking bad, why aren't you serving ??? I did my time and got injured. If I could be there, I would. Our men and women don't like being at war there, but they are doing their job just as I did when I was serving our country. If you all think it's so fucking bad, why not run for office and become the Commander in Chief and release them ??? It's sad to see all of our people getting killed over there, but there hasn't been a draft in years. Everyone of them raised their hand and joined the forces themselves..

Klashbash, you need to look more carefully:
It's not about two people backing up their own side to an issue.
THey each had a different issue:

1) O'Reilly talked about war on Xmas

2) Letterman talked about O'Reilly lying.

in the first issue, O'Reilly backed himself up, but as I already proved, it was backing up a lie with more lies.

in the 2nd issue, Letterman didn't back himself up at all, but the issue itself was so transparent and trivial that debate and elaboration isn't necessary. If I said the sun was green and you say I lied, it's end of story.

Conclusion: In this debate, the only non-fake issue here was O'Reilly lying, but ironically, that was the most trivial issue of all. ANd Letterman easily won it. Which is a testament to how pointless the episode was overall. It's like O'Reilly cheated in chess, while Letterman pwned in a game of tic tac toe.

And don't tell me Letterman really ought to have done his research on the Cindy Sheehan case or some crap. No one cares about Sheehan but O'Reilly.
