Yea, no problem. You just seemed to have thought that U.S.A went to war by itself.

France was taken over quickly, yes - within 2 weeks - however there was resistance. England despite what you think was making progress, and as we all know Russia couldn't have been losing too harshly before June 1941 because Soviet and Nazi had a Non- Agression Pact signed. When it was broken in June 1941 Germany used the same tactics as they did with France and got a lot of quick victories but they also opened up a War on 2 fronts.

Anyways, U.S.A did help im just saying it wasn't the sole reason why europe wasnt taken over especially when the allies consisted of England, France, Soviet (after 1941), China, Australia, Canada, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Poland, Holland, Norway, Greece, and a few more. To place sole victory on the U.S.A is extremely patriotic on your part I guess but also very wrong.

The comment was reffering to how people were insulting Letterman then others O'Reilly. I can't very well insult someones character if I dont know them or seen there program.

I said I agreed with Mxrss on the majority of his points regarding the war in Iraq, i can't comment on what's going on with the lady and her protests i know nothing about it that's why I stayed out.

Bill O' Reilly is a really great Orator, and i repect him for that fact, but alot of his opinions are based on blind patriotism, and just pure egotistical hot air.

I was glad to see someone like Phil Donahue put him in his place.

i watched tekno's clip, and honestly, most of donahue's points were a little farfetched, sure sheehan lost her son, i empathize, but she's not the only one, and she doesn't need to make a spectacle of it when other people have probably lost more than she has, she should be thankful a terrorist attack didn't kill her whole family, because we decided to attack them before they could attack us again. and donahue saying that rumsfeld shook his hand in the eighties, who friggen cares, the guy was a terrorist, he killed thousands of people, and in the end, when saddam was captured he was hiding like a coward in a hole. as for us staying in iraq...you have to give a country time to rebuild itself, it's not gonna happen in a day, or a month, it's going to take a few years. their military is being trained. it took our country six years to win the war for freedom from england and and we didn't have our government completely set up until the late 1780's, early 90's, and that was WITHOUT a bunch of radicals killing people left and right.
going into the military is a choice, just because you go into it in peace time makes no difference, you have to understand that if we are called to war, you must respond, i believe the saying is Semper Fi not run and hide. donahue somehow implies that our military people are chosen to be "sent" over there. no phil, they made their decision when they signed that line, and we should be honoring those who decide to fight for our freedom, instead of squabbling over misinformation fed to us by media's propaganda.

Anyone that has a "Support Our Troops" or an American Flag sticker should be pulled over and beheaded for stating the obvious. Why don't you get a sticker that says "Baby On Board" so we can all be EXTRA careful just for you!

Of course we support our troops, that goes without saying, yet it never ceases to amaze me how people MUST get that outward attention. Honk if you love jesus you fucking assholes.

I completly agree that after 9/11 happened this country was soo pissed off that we wanted blood for blood. Going into Afganistan was warrented...... but then to turn around and say Iraq is next........ is just pure bullshit.

I can sit here and name things like Haliburton, Building Contracts, Oil profits, and other reasons why Bush used 9/11 as motives to invade Iraq. But im sure you have heard it before...... if not then you have been living in a closet for the past 4 years. As for Bush he even admitted that his intelligence on the WMD's was false and he assumes responsibilty for the mistake which is Iraq.

Im not saying i completely agree with Donahue, especially when it comes to Sheehan, but if you dont agree with the fact that continuing this war is just a futile act then you are seriously delusional. Lynden Johnson did the same thing when it came to Vietnam, that Bush is gonna pull as we speak. Instead of pulling out and saving American troops lives, hes gonna serve the rest of his term out and let the next president clean up his mess. And even after we set up a "Secure Government and Police Force" over in Iraq, one month after we pull out its all gonna collapse, just like it did in Vietnam.

History repeats itself when ignorant men refuse to learn from past mistakes.

P.S. Phil Donahue = 10x the man that Bill O' Reilly boasts to be.

i'm not saying "tough" to the servicemen, i'm only stating that you must understand what you're getting into when you join the military, it's not exactly the safest job on the planet. i'm not sure everyone does when they join, but the majority of them must have a little inkling, otherwise they wouldn't do it. As for the military intelligence faux paus, i'm not sure that the military would actually tell us everything they knew, that's just not good strategy.
Al Queida knew how to take down the twin towers because after the first bombing, some news stations gave a complete structural analysis of both buildings, prettymuch giving the terrorists all they need to formulate the weak points. i'm not saying that our own reporters were trying to bring down the towers, i'm just trying to make the point that giving all the information we have, is not the smartest option.
There may have been WMD's there may have not, but it seems too fishy to give satellite images of bunkers and all this intelligence stating that there were weapons, and now there are not. i'm not an expert on intelligence issues, but it seems to me that the way classified information is handled is with a lot of smoke and mirrors, deflecting away from the truth. all i really know is, if there were wmd's and i was president, i wouldn't want to broadcast that we found them to the whole world, including the terrorists.
i'm not saying that we should continue this war forever, but i think we should at least give the Iraqi's a fighting chance at setting things up the way they'd like to, most iraqi's seem to be happier now than when saddam was the reigning dictator, and most seem to be excited to be involved in getting their country turned around. it would be a disservice to them, to destroy the former government, and not help and protect them as the begin a new one.
