What the hell? Is he talking of direct democracy? While it works just fine in small nation, like Switzerland, I'm not sure how that would apply to US. I mean opinion of majority might not allways be for the benefit of a nation as whole (because the majority isn't just smart enough obviosly).

Anyway, there's no way he could ever become a president. Too honest and wise (or is he fooling us?). Never trust a politician.

As if the campaign ads werent annoying enough, if this idea gets passed we'll have national law ads year round. Which touches on another problem that would be created; the institution with the most money would get the most airtime, that would give them too much influence on which way the vote leans.
