I didnt know about this guy until 8:47 minutes ago, but now I feel he is the candidate that would do the MOST long term good for America. We are approaching bancruptcy and only someone that is as serious as he is can stop that. If we go Bankrupt the war in Iraq will be the least of out problems. Mike Gravel was originally who I thought would be best but this just takes the cake...even if he is Republican. I just hope that Wall Street and Major companies in the US back him up financially and in general.

Has anybody ever tried interpreting the lyrics to Don Mcleans "American Pie?" I can't make sense of it. Sorry, off subject.

Thorno,

It looks at though he'll probably won't be one of the primary contenders, as he doesn't get as much media play as the other candidates. He doesn't have the monstrous financial backing that some of the others have, which really limits him becoming a household name. He's definitely the guy who makes the most sense of all the candidates though, in my opinion.

Bill Gates should come out and spare a portion of his snack money for candidates like Ron Paul and Mike Gravel.

I've been voting mostly Democratic since college days. Sometimes I had to hold my nose when the time comes to pull the lever in the voting booth, but this is one Republican I am more than happy to support and vote for. I don't agree with all of his issues but this guy seems to be at least intellectually honest and consistent, something alot of Latter Day Libertarians have completely forgotten about. We need more people like him, too bad he won't win the Republican nomination.

I'm in Canada, and I would love Ron Paul to be the President of the USA. I think his ideals are sound and his heart quite solid. I believe the American people should give him a chance, give your support to him. It will probably be difficult, even if he gets elected, but what America needs is unity, and that unity will come progression.

Look out for Ron Paul .. he's pushing cheap pharmaceuticals legislation .. as if the states didn't have enough pharmaceuticals problems without flooding the market with cheap poorly tested meds ..

Gravel wants to give the people the power to make the changes they want .. the power to make the politicians do what the people want, rather than what the corporate fat cats want .. Paul works for the fat cats not you ..

Paul has no foreign policy agenda .. thinks the USA can just hide from the global stage .. Gravel knows better .. Vote Gravel ..

Ron Paul is fucking awesome. He makes me respect republicans, and hes the only one that does that.

He is the only one that believes in the US constitution. I just watched a 45 minute youtube with him and every second reminded me that he truly believes in that shitty "just a piece of paper" (TM George W. Bush).

Please vote down the asshole above me. ". he's pushing cheap pharmaceuticals legislation .. as if the states didn't have enough pharmaceuticals problems without flooding the market with cheap poorly tested meds .. "

Cheap does not equal poorly tested. EVEN IF IT DID, I would still prefer giving poor people "poorly tested" (but tested no?) medicine than no medicine and death. It sounds to me that he wants good in that area too. Generic usually means an copy of a patent original, once the patent runs out. Unless you are suggestion Ron is advocating something illegal, then what the FUCK are you on about?

I'd say YOU respresent the fat cats who want to keep their high cost monopoly.

BUT IM NOT GONNA LET YOU DERAIL ME INTO A SPECIFIC AREA. (common tactic) RON PAUL BELIEVES IN THE CONSTITUTION. AND HE IS ALONE IN THAT.

More people die from cancer, trafick, smoking ETCCCCCCCC than even getting close to terrorism. Yet the huge issue in the US is terrorism? What.. the.. fuck? Are you mentally challanged over there? You've had what? 5 attacks?

Seems to me that terror has worked perfectly in the US. To create an irrational fear of terrorism. Score one for the neocons.

Ahem. I live in Hungary, and I don't pay a buck for drugs except from my insurance, which is provided by the government. If we can do it, so can you.

dave-the lyrics are about a lot of different things, such as the death of the big bopper and janis joplin.
back on subject, any idiot should be able to see that ron paul is intelligent and honest. he is the only person that can fix this country. and he doesnt take any money from corporations to fund his campaign or anything else, so he will not owe anything to anyone, unlike our current administration, whose never-ending train of blow-jobs results in more unnecessary deaths every day. tell everyone you know about ron paul!!!

Truth is frightening. The people of the United States seem to have a harder time facing truth than other people. Ron Paul kicks ass.

BTW, if Paul was a puppet of the fat cats, as many high ranking politicians seem to be, why is he so bent on burning their system down? I'm surprised he's still alive.

Chinup just doesn't understand how the free market works. Ron Paul isn't 'pushing cheap drugs.' Rather, he's trying to put a halt to government subsidies, tax breaks and free rides given by the government to corporations. This is probably the most un-fatcat thing anyone can do.

Gravel just wants to put another layer of bureaucracy between American citizens and the Congress, and create a mess of millions of bills to be proposed by citizens which would inevitably clog the government and bring it to a stop.

Bah! down with political mumbo-jumbo... Yeah, he didn't vote for this or that... but what did he vote for? And much more importantly... does he have ties with Bush or the Bush family?

In short, I believe in Anarchy at this point... this country is in a shithole that we can't dig ourselves out of and remember...ALL EMPIRES FALL.
