Yeah, I love this guy, too, but frankly, I think he's got a snowballs chance in hell. Not because of what he says, I think a LOT of people agree with him (even if they won't say so publicly), but I think people wont vote for him because of his "looks". He looks a little squirrelly, & his speaking isn't confident enough. I know that shouldn't matter, but nowadays, it does. Still, "Go, Ron Paul!!"

you said it draser. this guy is our only chance in hell of fixing this messed up country, but most people have never even heard his name. i wear a button everywhere i go that says ron paul 2008, and spread the word as much as i can, but the media is really not giving him equal coverage, and thats gonna hurt his campaign. its a shame that most people probably wont even do enough research before they vote to find his name, much less find out what he stands for. on the other hand, most people get behind him after hearing him speak just once. hes the right man for the job, but if no one even knows hes an option, he might as well be jeb bush.

Ron Paul won, or was second place, in polls done after the 2 debates. If I was an optimist I could hope that this signaled that he would eventually win the nomination. Too bad I'm not an optimist.

The majority of people don't know who Ron Paul is... The problem is that even though RP may finish high in the polls after a debate, most people aren't even WATCHING the debates. They don't really know much of anything about politics, and know only the popular names. Unfortunately Ron Paul is not one of them.

ahh too bad. I like his views on isolationist foreign policy, but he wants to blow the IRS down (= inflation), and wants to make america go back to laissez faire (= effectively a caste system).

and he's pro-life, too bad. Probably believes in global warming too.

And he's not for unifying information systems (national ID card idea). too bad on that too....

Not for me. Too libertarian and short-sighted for me. He's playing off liberal fearmongering and what the people want, no different than olbermann.

although its probably true that most people don't watch debates, it's also possible that most people that don't watch debates don't vote. people that do vote tend to do a little research on their candidates. thank god for the internet otherwise people wouldn't have heard of this great candidate.
