On Monday April 16th, 32 people were gunned down at Virginia Tech -- another two dozen injured -- with the gunman ending the rampage by shooting himself. It was the deadliest killing spree in U.S. history. Why did this happen?

Guess it just takes an extra sense of psychotic tendencies to carry this sort of thing out - like a greater desire to delve into the id. (I nearly said "chink in the armour" but that's in terribly poor taste).

aaanyway, i agree that this is notorising some sick pup who wanted 'infamy', and those that share the same mindset (though i sincerely hope there aren't any) could possibly learn from this and gain their own notoriety.

OK, I have a couple of questions I hope some of you can answer here.

1. Didn't the shooter have a girlfriend of some sorts? And she had just broken up with him?

2. Does teasing and bullying happen at college level as well? I'm a college student, but I have NEVER heard of bullying and teasing going on at my college, I guess we just left it back in high school (By the way, I'm Norwegian.)

Kids in the UK kill themselfs. But if they could get hold of a gun I think it would be a diffrent story!!!

I was bullied!!! I expoded one day in wood work and the result was one kid in hospital with a broke jaw!! After that no one bullied me!! But it should never have got to that piont!!!

It wasn't the deadliest killing spree in US history, it was the deadliest mass shooting. The deadliest mass killing was done with bombs.

Too bad this didn't have more than NBC aired of the "manifesto." It's insulting that they choose what we should be allowed to see.

yeah i understand u got bullied and reacted in a way most us might do or should do which sometimes stops bullying. good for you. but a lot of those people are not as strong as u. and to Arangaras.. mate i've seen bullying throughout my work career so NO it does not stop it high school.. it can happen throughout someones life.. which is very wrong..
