passengers on a half-empty plane were shocked when an air hostess asked for eight 'fat' people to move.
the eight passengers were asked to move to the front of the plane as the captain was unhappy with weight distribution in the cabin.
peter harrison who was on the britannia airways flight from tenerife to gatwick said: "she said there were too many passengers at the back of the plane and she needed eight fat people sat in rows 31 to 42 to sit nearer the front."
peter, from borehamwood, herts, was not in those rows but said he felt awkward because he weighs 24 stone.
according to the sun he added: "she was staring straight at me. at the time i thought it was funny but it must have been quite humiliating for anyone large in those rows. in the end eight people got up and shuffled forward before we took off. it can't have been nice for them."

-26 may 2004, wolfsberg, austria) the manager of an apartment house was surprised to find the legs of a corpse sticking out an apartment window. police entered the apartment and found the deceased man's head soaking in a sink full of hot water. apparently the out-of-work austrian had returned home after a night of drinking and drugs. he decided to slip in through the kitchen window. the window was fixed at the base and tilted out, giving him just enough room to squeeze his head through as far as the sink before he got stuck. while flailing around trying to escape, he turned on the hot water tap. police were not sure why he had not turned off the water, pulled the plug, or--perhaps most important--entered through the front door, since they found the keys in his pants pocket.

every now and then they even sue grannies who do not own a computer, let alone know how to use one.
but this time, they have reached a new low. they have sued a woman dead since december 2004.
although the woman in question, gertrude watson, has been dead for about 1.5 years, and her daughter has even send them the death certificate, the riaa persisted, saying she had downloaded over 700 music files, under the name of “smittenedkitten”.
the riaa has now dropped the case, but is pursuing other cases, pressuring those accused of pirating to settle the case out of court.
several people now being sued do not even own a computer. however, the riaa does not seem fazed by this, and is continuing legal action against about 235 defendants.
although their tactics of “proving” that people are involved in file sharing are certainly not flawless, the riaa is convinced they are on the right track. “do the crime and you will pay the fine or do the time,” the riaa says on their website.
undoubtedly, they hope that most people sued will settle out of court.
