a young deer is caught on surveillance videos breaking into the new brunswick legislature building. the deer entered through an open door of the building shortly before 8 a.m. video shows the deer crossing the lobby and briefly entering an elevator, before bolting into an area of offices used by reporters. the deer then jumped onto a desk and smashed various items. no stunt double was used in this video. the deer actually jumped through a closed window, and in the wake of it’s dramatic escape, left shattered glass on the pavement below!

ok, so i live in this semi-rural area. we recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the deer crossing sign on our road. the reason: many deer were being hit by cars and he no longer wanted them to cross there.

google responds: gathering the imagery for street view requires quite a bit of driving; as such, we take safety very seriously. unfortunately, accidents do happen — as some people have noticed, one of our street view cars hit a deer while driving on a rural road in upstate new york. due to several user requests using the “report a concern” tool, these images are no longer available in street view. the driver was understandably upset, and promptly stopped to alert the local police and the street view team at google. the deer was able to move and had left the area by the time the police arrived. the police explained to our driver that, sadly, this was not an uncommon occurrence in the region — the new york state department of transportation estimates that 60,000-70,000 deer collisions happen per year in new york alone — and no police report needed to be filed.

a deer just break in the courtyard to have a lunch, but the pet hen refuses to share its food. yes, the guy is talking to his hen in the middle of the video, and yes ... its name is copo! we got crazy people here!
a video showing instructions on the proper way to field dress a deer. posted for anyone who hunt's or is interested in it. or who are just curious about the process. i know i'll get a bunch of whiny people who don't understand the ecological reasons, traditional family and friend bonding experiences or health benefits of eating only game meat, whining about this. well it may seem cruel to hunt, but i think slaughter farms are a bit worse. plus i prefer healthy meet.. ever eat a hamburger and you can't really complain.
