a guy sticks his head into a barber shop and asks, "how long before i can get a haircut?" the barber looks around the shop and says, "about 2 hours." the guy leaves.
a few days later the same guy sticks his head in the door and asks, "how long before i can get a haircut?" the barber looks around at shop full of customers and says, "about 3 hours." the guy leaves.
a week later the same guy sticks his head in the shop and asks, "how long before i can get a haircut?" the barber looks around the shop and says, "about an hour and half." the guy leaves.
the barber looks over at a friend in the shop and says, "hey, bill, follow that guy and see where he goes. he keeps asking how long he has to wait for a haircut, but then doesn't come back."

a young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer, "this is the dumbest kid in the world. watch while i prove it to you." the barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks, "which do you want, son?" the boy takes the quarters and leaves. "what did i tell you?" said the barber. "that kid never learns!" later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store. "hey, son! may i ask you a question? why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?" the boy licked his cone and replied, "because the day i take the dollar, the game's over!"
a navy chief and an admiral were sitting in the barbershop. they were both just getting finished with their shaves, when the barbers reached for some after-shave to slap on their faces. the admiral shouted, "hey, don't put that stuff on me! my wife will think i've been in a whorehouse!" the chief turned to his barber and said, "go ahead and put it on. my wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like."
